How to get free music

With Limewire now pretty much dead some people are at a loss on how to get free decent quality music.  But have no fear because other options are available that are still relatively easy.

The first option is relatively easy and involves a site that everyone should be familiar with, youtube.  First what you want to do is located a song that you would like to download and copy the url(the thing at the top of the page that has youtube in the title for anyone illiterate with tech). Next go to the site, http://www.vidtomp3.com/ and paste the url in the box that looks like this one.

Select your preferred quality and hit download.  Now just wait for the file to load hit, download some more and BAM you now have a free mp3 file that you just need to upload to iTunes.

Another option is to use get mp3s via torrent files.  To do this you will need to first download BitTorrent which you can do from, surprise, http://www.bittorrent.com/.  Next you need to find yourself some torrents!  But where are these elusive files?  Probably the largest selection of torrents on the internet can be found on http://thepiratebay.org/.  Simply type what you are looking for in the search bar and you should get some results.  Now just click on one that looks good to download it. But wait! You are not done yet.  Now open up BitTorrent and click add in the top left corner to add the torrent file.  Now just wait for BitTorrent to finish up and you're done!

Torrents allow you to download entire albums at a time which is really a time saver, plus you can also download movies and other files through them.  However there is always some risk that you could download a bad file that could in fact be a virus so be careful.  If you do not want to take this risk then stick to youtube.  Whatever you choose enjoy the new music.
